Featured Project – Luxury Residential Property, Cobham, Surrey

Victorian Cornice Company was appointed to supply and install handcrafted plaster cornice and decorative ceiling roses as part of the refurbishment of a high-end residential property in Cobham, Surrey.

The project included plasterwork within a large open-plan kitchen and dining area, together with a separate spice cupboard. The decorative mouldings were selected to introduce traditional architectural detailing while complementing the scale and high-quality finish of the renovated interiors.

Our craftsmen installed the cornice throughout the kitchen and dining space, carefully forming the profile around changes in wall line, projecting sections and other architectural features to maintain a continuous and balanced appearance throughout the room.

Decorative plaster detailing was also incorporated around the main feature areas, together with an ornate plaster ceiling rose providing a focal point to the ceiling. The separate spice cupboard received its own detailed cornice installation, continuing the traditional character of the plasterwork into the smaller adjoining space.

All plaster mouldings were handmade in our Birmingham workshop using traditional fibrous plaster techniques before being delivered to Cobham and professionally installed and finished on site by our experienced team.

This project demonstrates how traditional plaster cornice and ceiling roses can be incorporated into a substantial contemporary renovation, adding architectural character and craftsmanship to a high-end Surrey home.
