Featured Project – Residential Property, York
Victorian Cornice Company was appointed to supply and install handcrafted plaster cornice and bespoke decorative plasterwork as part of the renovation of a residential property in York.
Our work included the supply and installation of traditional plaster cornice within the living room and lounge, with the cornice carefully formed around the bay window to follow the changing angles while maintaining a consistent profile throughout.
We also installed plaster cornice within the hallway, helping to carry the traditional architectural detailing through the different areas of the property.
A key feature of the project was the creation and installation of a bespoke plaster arch with decorative corbels. The arch was made specifically for the opening, introducing a substantial architectural feature while complementing the surrounding cornice and period character of the interior.
All plasterwork was handmade in our Birmingham workshop using traditional fibrous plaster techniques before being delivered to York and professionally installed and finished on site by our experienced craftsmen.
